Life Stories
From the outside, the building was not what we were expecting…
MY HUSBAND and I both came to trust in Jesus Christ as children. Belonging to good churches as we grew up helped us avoid many of the pitfalls that pull at teens. God truly blessed us by allowing us to grow up in Christian homes, and we are very thankful that we were able to have that opportunity.
Although we were both involved in church and accepted Jesus as our Savior as children, Jesus has become real to us as adults. God is no longer just the God of my parents, but my God who loves me and who died for me.
After we got married, Michael and I began to look for a church in the area that we could be a part of. We wanted a place we could call our church home and family, and somewhere we could get involved. We found Fall Creek on the internet and decided to give it a try.
From the outside, the building was not what we were expecting. We sat in the driveway and deliberated about whether or not to go in. We decided that since we had made the effort to get up and go, we might as well give it a try. When we walked in, our impressions changed completely.
The people are friendly and the services are wonderful. The preaching is taught on our level, about things that we can apply in our daily lives. They also have a great worship team with a great balance of music and instruments; it’s just what we were looking for.
One thing that we like is that there are several couples our age, whereas previously we found it hard to find Christian friends in our age group. We have found the home and church family that we were looking for here. They welcomed us with open arms as soon as we walked in the doors. We’re glad we came in!
